Whilst this wasn’t my favourite, I’m rating it 5 starts to try and balance out some of the homophobes. The plot is good although it may have dragged at certain points. I thought the graphics were beautiful and unique, with characters and creatures I’ve not seen before. Not sure why there is so much backlash against a teenage boy having a crush on another teenage boy, yet making out between two straight adults is fine. It has nothing to do with sexualisation or sexual orientation (heterosexual is a sexual orientation).. just people being homophobic and refusing to educate their children about the diversity we have as the human race.

Funny in some cases but some of the jokes were unclassy and just disgusting, physically making me feel sick. Maybe it's just dark humour, and humour is subjective but for me and seemingly many others, it just didn't hit the nail, and came out as just gross and weird. There were so many funny parts in this movie so the (TW) rape and pedophilia references just didn't need to be there.

What? That’s what I’ve got to say about this movie. There’s so many things I can point out so many wrong things with this movie apart from the fact I had NO clue what was happening throughout the entire movie. Something about a new cat and they all go to the jellicle ball and some random cats who rob rich people? Not sure what that’s about.. they all sing a song to introduce her selves and that’s just about 80% of the movie. Not only is it incredibly confusing But rather terrifying equally. They talk and hiss in human voices yet somehow meow like actually cats? And they walk like humans but SOMETIMES crawl and instead of clapping they tap their “claws” on the floor except because they have human hands it just wouldn’t work. (Don’t even get me started on scale factor. Let’s just say it’s dreadful) Onto animation which apparently it’s been praised on? The cat hairs are impressive but the collars just don’t seem to fit the necks? They go through the necks sometimes like some dodgy unfinished 2003 movie. Also the contact feet to floor just isn’t good at all especially when they’re dancing. Sometimes when they land their feet seem to be either inside the floor or an inch above it. Not to be picky or anything but dear or dear.. The only credible thing I can point out in this film is the main character is an incredible dancer and knowing it’s her first movie I feel extremely bad because she had so much potential to be a star in the movie industry. There’s so much more I can talk about but I don’t wanna go into in too much detail so I’ll leave it on a semi-good note. Don’t waste your money is all I say. I want to leave a cinema feeling good and like the movie I’ve watched was worth my time. If you really want to watch it wait until it’s on some site or even watch it illegally
