Although the premise of the series is okay, the plot lines are ridiculous. If a viewer really thinks it's great or THE BEST SHOW EVER!!! they'd better consider what it really means to have a damaged person elected POTUS by nefarious means. Acting across the board is weak tea. VERY weak tea. Washington WAY over-acting throughout, jumping from impotent sneer and jaunty hoe-strut to pathetic whimpering sadgirl. I binge-watched it straight through over the course of a week +/- hoping the writing and/or directing would improve. It did not. And that sure as hell isn't Vermont in those 'Vermont' shots (nor are any of the shots taken in DC). One thing it did underline as a universal truth, however. Power corrupts.
