If you compare this sequel to the last of us 1 there is no comparison. The writing in the first game with its subtle and nuanced approach to building the relationship between Joel and Ellie has been replaced with crass writing, repetitive gameplay and gratuitous violence without and substantive context. If you rate this game as a stand alone game it would score a very average 3 stars. I think what is unforgivable is how they bastardised the original characters to fit a woke narrative.
