From being introduced to the world of the Witcher through the video games, I would rate this 4.5 out of 5 stars. Purely on the asthetics of a small amount of the cast, however the acting was nailed. Geralt is near flawless in this adaptation. Jaskier knocked me off guard at the start but quickly exceeded any expectations I could of had for him. If you find some things too slow at points (I personally did not) then i just want to say that everything in this season is setting up a much wider story and lore which I feel is necessary for what’s to come. It would be like watching LOTR Extended Edition then switching to the theatrical. There’s so many small details that just add so much when you reach the final outcome and without them you feel robbed of something. These small details which you could possibly see as uninteresting now have set up an incredible story that I cannot wait to see.
