I dont get the hate. It was a first time watch for me last night and I absolutely loved it. The body transfer was akin to The Hidden, but according to the director on my shout factory set he had never seen that movie. It also makes more sense considering that Jason no matter what was done to him could not ever die permanently.
Its my favorite of the series so far. I have all the ones after this one to see as a first time watch.
