I grew up in LA listening to KGFJ and the Magnificent Montague. He blasted the airways with the Best R&B that could be found anywhere. Cruis'n Crenshaw and Hollywood as a teenager in 1965 with "The Magnificent" on KGFJ beats out anything that has followed since. His book takes me home to where I want to live for the rest of time. August 1965 on Central Ave was party time. Our voice was heard around the world!!! I was still Cruis'n Crenshaw in the summer of '89 with KGFJ on CD.
