It's not easy to love this game. But if you're willing to try, I'd recommend playing or watching the entire game, letting it sit with you a bit. Then watch interviews with the cast (I recommend the Kinda Funny Games one with Ashley, Troy and Neil, and the Kinda Funny one with Laura on YouTube). This brought SO MUCH clarity for me about how much thought went into the game and the reasons they made the decisions that they did. And also watch Nathan Zed's analysis of the game on youtube. That video brought up a lot of meaning in the game that I had definitely missed, and it made me see the game in a different light. You don't have to forgive Neil for killing Joel. But I think it's worth it to try. (Also not liking a game doesn't excuse sending death threats to someone. If you truly can't forgive the game, let it go and move on with your life. What's done is done.)
