This movie makes me wish we had gotten more moments with John and Amanda. I love how their dynamic was explored as well as John's philosophy. This movie feels like they tried their best to make it feel as much like an OG Saw movie as much as possible and they got pretty close to it. The only thing I found missing was the sped up moments as someone struggles while time runs out, kind of giving a distorted effect as the camera shows different angles rapidly. But other than that? It had everything you'd want from a Saw movie. And the traps? Simplistic, much like the earlier traps, but definitely bone chilling. I really hope they make more prequels centered around John, Amanda, and Hoffman.
I'd have to say this movie is probably my favorite of the Saw franchise because it focuses more light on the characters fans have come to love over the years.
