I’ve been spoiled by growing up with the original game. While the graphics, style and quality are far superior in this sequel, unfortunately the fun isn’t. The game is missing the atmosphere of the original, the simple but effective sound effects. Any atmosphere is stymied by the more lively music choices in the game which distract more than appeal. The tutorial is needlessly long, taking well over 2 hours of solid gameplay time, when a simple and well structured 5 minute tutorial would more than suffice. While others have complained about voice acting, I feel that it compliments the spy-fi style of game so no issues there for me. The UI needs some changes to say the least. Confusing and more a hindrance than something easily accessible. Overall it’s a good game, but only if you haven’t played the original, otherwise prepare to be slightly underwhelmed.
