This is one crazy manga. This is not your average guro manga, the violence is in service to a story that explores a concept relating to our origin as a species that sounds, quite frankly, terrifyingly accurate. But that is a side story that serves the main plot of a group of friends trying to survive in an extremely unfamiliar world which gets incredibly emotional at times. Only gave it 4 stars because the plot can feel a bit convenient at times, but not enough to make me disbelieve.
