I binged the first season while home with a sick kid. Characters make obviously bad decisions. Not much back story. Why can't "Echo lady" take the keys away? If she can't just take them, why can't she threaten the kids, or their loved ones to convince them to give them to her? She threatens so many times, but the threats seem empty... Seems like she could get the keys much more easily. Kids are way more careless with than anyone would be in real life. Scene making the "popular girl" make a fool of herself was way too drawn out. Also wrote it off too easily in a later scene. Besides showing that using the keys can be addicting, what did that scene contribute? Sex scene with "echo lady" with the choking... Was this really necessary? I was watching with my 7 year old daughter... This blind-sided me... The older siblings keep going back and forth from being the depressed loaner kids to being loving to each other... Better writing could have helped the bad actors. Better actors could have maybe made up for some bad writing... It's interesting enough to keep me watching, though...
