After reading the general social media hype that surrounded this show I eventually decided to give it a chance. I wanted to watch the show through a second time so I could be honest in my review. Iโve seen the words โterrifyingโ & โintelligentโ thrown around a lot about this show and in all honesty, I found it to be neither. Donโt get me wrong it is a good series but for only a few standout episodes. One of those episodes is episode 6. A rather powerful episode for those who really pay attention to the finer details. I would say watch it and then watch it again before moving along to episode 7, really test your cerebral capabilities. On the whole I found the series stretches itself to thin and relies very heavily on its preceding reputation. People will just fall into it under the hype. It manages to excel in some areas but horror isnโt one of them. I can see badly paid homage and clearly the individual introduction to each character has major IT influence. But thatโs as close as it gets to being a memorable amongst the horror genre. On the positive side, the cast is an orgasmic collection of โwowโ these guys carry a half cocked script and really make it work. If youโve got an IQ of 80+ donโt expect any twists you canโt see coming from episode two onwards. All in all itโs not a bad show, itโs not a brilliant show either. Itโs a good series if youโre after something to help you recover from the disappointment of making a murderer series 2.
