I went into this expecting unimpressive campy horror/humor and sub-acting. I was not ready for how GOOD this was. If you want a truly fast-paced old school horror flick with brilliant performances, somehow, this film pulled it off. I was invested in the characters even though they had so little character development. I hope that any hype this review gives you doesn't make you expect too much from this film, but I would watch this again. Having gone in not expecting much is probably how I got wowed by how good this movie was. Way better than it had any business being. I'd watch a sequel to this 100% Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi hit it out of the park with this one!

You'll be lulled into this movie thinking it will be great. It builds and you will keep watching only to be disappointed by the ending. What you never figure out is that the movie is probably based on the true story of a prolific serial killer who was on the Dating Game, namely Rodney Alcala. They show you someone as a subplot that is murdered but that subplot is just as dead as the girl it is about. It is brilliantly acted, but the script and writing are subpar. I will be sure never to watch anything written by anyone involved in this again.

Complete waste of time. Waste of good actors. Waste of nuances. Waste of pretty much anything you can mention. Someone took a bunch of really good things, put them in a bag and shook them until only a jumbled mess of a film was left.

It's a 3 star movie, so long as you are in the mood to be bummed out. No one wins in this one. Audience included. Make a version that makes me less bummed and I'll add another star. No one will be psyched to have seen this. You'll want to see it through to the end and then wish you hadn't.

A steaming hot turd of a movie. I couldn't get through this snore-fest.
