This should not be considered a continuation. From the very lazy and uninspired set design to outright forgetting one the returning character's storyline this series felt extremely disconnected to the Televisa version. The name is the same but it is no longer a campy, over the top teen soap opera. It is your average teen drama where the teenage characters are hyper-sexualized, and the main characters band together in order to bring down a common enemy. We learn very little about the characters as the story chooses to focus on the music instead of the students' lives. With a lack of extras, secondary characters, and conflict this season felt rushed and was boring. The school setting was not used in any interesting way and was only there for battle of bands plot which was very uninteresting. However, their outfits were stunning so huge props to the wardrobe designer. Advise for next season would be not show the 15 years olds having sex and don't lean in so much on nostalgia to bate audiences into watching.
