As a show on its own it is extremely well done. I understand why they left so much stuff out because it isn't particularly necessary, but I just can't enjoy the show as much not being able to see those parts. It just feels like something is missing. Yes, the characters don't look exactly the same but that doesn't matter. What does matter is the poor acting and how much they left out and changed the show for the worse.
