And the Mountains Echoed by Khaleed Hosseini is a tale of separation where 10 year old Abdullah is compelled by his father to hand over his baby sister "Pari" to a wealthy family. Situations and events occurring in Kabul (Afghanistan) turns to be shifted to France and America. Abdullah has married and owns a restaurant in America and has a daughter named "pari" while in France Pari is married and have children too. pari despite having all comforts of life still feels lonely and emptiness in her life and she tries to trace her birth place and blood relations. This novel is full of struggle, agony, emotion, passion, never ending discomfort and true love.
