There are too many deep feelings and hidden meanings which make sense towards the end, and sometimes, they don't to the ones without keen eyes. It has a lot of sex and explicit scenes but the waves of emotions are so realistic you can feel them in your bones. Elio portrayed by Timothee is a young, intense character who plays piano well and falls incurably in love with Oliver, the handsome man who comes to Italy for his notes on sculptures. The two try to avoid each other only to be drawn back to one another and what follows next is an utterly heartbreaking journey of love, hope, lust, despair and much more. This is the most clinically hurtful movie I've seen in a long time. Sufjan's soulful music and songs with deep meanings made it all the more better... and heart wrenching. Watch it the bravehearts, and the ones who are softies, like me, please beware of the ending.
