As faithful to the book as possible, with a few minor surprises and sacrifices. Movie correctly captures the vast scale envisioned by Herbert, and the conclusion leaves the viewer wanting more - which is possibly the best way to make people line up for the second movie... I know I will toss them another coin. The eye candy alone makes it worth it. Who else but Frank Herbert can come up with spaceships almost as large as a planet...
