Kristen’s performance is mesmerizing. The film imagines three days around Christmas as Diana’s marriage to Charles is falling apart. The claustrophobia of the royal protocols are taking their toll on Diana, and no one can really understand what it’s like to find out the ideal you once believed in was all a lie. This isn’t a biopic but rather an informed tone poem. Kristen is coming for some award season bling and she’s more than earned it all.
