Many stories in this period show women killing themselves due to their circumstances. The courage and beauty of this woman and her story makes my heart leap with joy. Once in college I asked a Professor if all we were going to read was about women killing themselves in various ways. She asked if I had no heart, how could I not see their pain. I told her sorry, I know how to kill myself, I want to know how to survive the pain and thrive. This movie would have definitely filled the bill.
