Very poorly directed. I mean first of all you have two directors????if one isnโt enough thatโs a bad sign, secondly the two directors co-directed flops before this movie (that was a strange decision for marvel.
The only good parts of the movie were the skrulls, Samuel l Jackson, and the cat goose (who should be named chewie) the rest left me very uninterested. The story was rushed and had no time or reason for me to get to know any of the characters except for the skrulls, who are the only people in the whole movie that had any development.
It started off in a strange place, and had little information giving in the knee portion of the story line, an alien race in marvel that has been extremely under developed on the big screen, but used frequently in the agents of shield show.
Iโm not too sure Brie Larson was a good choice for the role not only because her line delivery was a train wreck and attitude and performance given for the character in going in a bad direction for the character, but she is the least respectful actress in group interviews for marvel, and has given no respect for her employers publicity guidelines. So casting for the lease role could have been better, writing could have been done smoother, and whomever decided to hire rom com directors for an action movie should re-examine their choices for the future.
If anyone says โoh and you can do better?โ my only reply will be yes.
Because fixing a movie that is already finished can be easy, but making one from scratch is hard, I commend everyone who worked on the movie for working as hard as they did and thank them for everything they have done, to bring this character to the big screen. It was an ok movie in some areas but needs a lot of work in others. The effects were very well done, the visual layout and story board looked great, and the music was good enough to let the scenes slide together, could use some work to make that catchy tune to associate with that specific character, like the Captain America music, but all and all it was an ok movie, just could have been a lot better.
