Such a light refreshing comedy. Really well scripted and cast. Can’t wait for season 2

Season 1 great. 2? Get me out of this courtroom bs but still entertaining while staying true to the characters. 3 and 4 rapidly crash and burn. Apparently this needs to be said but everything on season 1 was necessary from the graphic portrayal of teen “drama” to the suicide scene. Graphic yes but so on point and gut wrenching. NOW SEASON 4. Did all the writers get fired? Holy he** So cheesy. I skipped episodes 4 through 9 because I couldn’t take it anymore and I need to finish whatever show I start. The Storyline was lazy, the script was elementary. Cringe worthy. And the self riteous constant activism. Rioting against police? Really ? And everyone goes off to college hurray! please bye. If I could do 0 stars I would.

So good. Just watch it. It may seem exaggerated or far fetched at first; and although it is these things, it’s just a magnified view of real life situations happening today in high school, college, politics and family and peer relations. Wildly entertaining, Ben Platt’s performance is a genius.

In a nutshell I wanted to like it. Interesting plot (the only reason I watched until the end); terrible writing; mediocre acting. The characters constantly flip flop on values and character traits. The plot twists throughout are not very creative, many of them could easily be avoided, prevented or mitigated, but the writing suggests the audience is not the brightest and will think “there’s no way out of this one!” I won’t give examples to avoid spoilers but as the show progresses this becomes more and more apparent. If there is a season 2, I hope there’s a whole new set of writers who gives the audience a little more credit.
