Thunder buddies for life! Sorry that was cringe. HOLY SHIT THIS MOVIE WAS HILARIOUS. But don’t let anyone under 15 watch this movie, unless they’re like super mature. Okay, now let’s be real. I am a big fan of adult humour and dark humour and oh boy did this film do that. I genuinely almost died choking on my drink watching this film so I recommend to not have any food or water when you watch this film. (At least for the first time). However, I will say one thing that it needed more of. Ted and Mila Kunis to have more screen time! Yes, John was funny but boy did those two crack me up. (Pls don’t hate me for saying that lol). Okay, I can see why SOME people are hating on this movie but, hear me out…JOSH FUCKING HUTCHERSON OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME. He carried this movie all the way through, although he was the main character and had his moments but don’t hate me for saying that! Now imma go straight to the stuff that made it a mid film. The jump scares. They’re practically nonexistent in this movie. Apart from when cupcake jumps outta the fridge. (That got me lmao). But the main reason behind me giving this movie 3 stars is because…it wasn’t scary at all! But who cares. I mean it was funny right? True, I did have some laughs when someone did or said something stupid, because it’s funny of course. (Duh). Now for the lore. History wise, I wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t accurate at all to the games, tapes or books! Apart from Afton killing a buncha kids. That part was accurate as hell, and his transformation into springtrap, which was okay to say the least. Holy shit I’ve written a lot. Alright I’m done now.

Wow. Just wow. Never have I ever seen a movie in my 17 years of living that is so disturbing, gory and gut wrenching yet so fucking beautiful. I’ve watched plenty of gory and gruesome films but what makes this film stand out from the others is the fact that it’s actually realistic. (In a way). The scenes of torture were actually hard to watch, for once! That’s what makes it good. Also I just wanna say that I GENUINELY thought they’d kill off the kid like in Terrifier 3 or Benny Loves You but she wouldn’t have deserved it though. Now let’s talk about The Collector or the main villain of the film. However you wanna say it, I couldn’t care less. His act of being all creepy and scary was pure perfection and I thought his character was really well written. Props to the actor! And yeah, that’s pretty much it.

Fucking finally! A British horror film! And it’s a slasher. Even better! I don’t know how I ended up watching this film so late but whatever. Now for the ACTUAL review…I really enjoyed this movie, I hated most of the characters (which you’re supposed to) and the kills and practical effects involved weren’t half bad. The only thing I can say negatively about this film is that the whole idea of the killer being some kid who was bullied and wanted to take revenge on his tormentors was kinda obvious but who cares? This was a solid movie. A rare gem some may say. I think the acting was decent and I did have a few laughs and a moment or two which caught me slightly off guard which is quite rare. Anyway, four stars. And for anyone who says different, watch it again.

Honestly, I don’t think this film was too bad as a whole. The only things that ruined it for me was the poor practical effects and gore etc which lacked for sure. Also I don’t know if anyone else pointed this out but the CRINGE in this fucking movie was on another level. “I am Lori Granger.” Like bro. Lmao. I would give it 2 and a half starts if I could but only cuz I’m feeling generous. Also at some points in the film, it was so bad that it was almost funny? That happens a lot in trashy horror films. And compared to the previous films? They fumbled SO badly on this one it’s crazy.
