I watched ITV Central News today, 14th December 2020 at 6 pm. There was an item on the growing of giant vegetables. The opening sequence showed video coverage of different vegetables growing in a greenhouse type environment. There is a voiceover but no presenter appeared in the video. There was also no instantly recognisable reference objects like a 50p piece or a pint glass to give any idea of scale of the vegetables. So the viewer could just be looking at normal sized vegetables ! I believe this is an example of lazy journalism, ill-thought out and poorly executed. ITV, your viewers deserve better than this amateur production.
