Batman is somewhat of a difficult character to get right as well as his mythos and world. The iconic character from DC has been changed so many times that some people never get a genuine experience as to which piece of media is the closest to the characters roots due to most people having only seen his film's. However the one adaptation of the character to truly grasp the spirit of Batman would be this series. The series has some of the most emotional and mature stories to be put into a tv series that it can leave you with a genuine impression. People can be surprised that this series has such an impact because they think that animation is something for kids to enjoy but this show absolutely proves that animation is not a genre made for an age group but as a medium and/or art form. One of the series best episodes, "Heart of ice", was the best introduction to one of Batmans most underappreciated enemies, Mr Freeze, and shows quite perfectly why this series deserves to remembered. It has so many great episodes that you simply must watch them all to feel satisfied. Why people may argue on which film adaptation of Batman was the best, this series is without a doubt a fantastic adaptation of Batman put to screen. If you feel like you want more Batman then please watch the 2004 Batman series which is also very enjoyable and is underappreciated amongst fans. Other than that this is a series that is a tribute to Batman and can be enjoyed by fans and those who are not too familiar with the character, simply a must watch series.
