Haha, JoJo song was mentioned in this film.
Alright, I've had my fun.
To be honest, I love this movie. Although it's like all those other underdog movies that make you feel sick inside, this one instead makes me feel warm inside. I like Jack Black's performance.
This movie is also really funny. My favourite joke was probably the one where Dewey's been found out to be a fraud at the Parent-Teacher night and makes an accidental double entendre about how the kids have touched him.
I like how real the whole teacher aspect of this film is. As the eldest daughter of two teachers, I always hear about one of their student's parents has been complaining to them about how they're not doing a good job at protecting and teaching their child. The pressure put on the principal when all the parents are shouting at her to do something feels somewhat relatable. Teachers can't do anything you know.
Finally, this movie injected me with an extra passion for music and makes me want to listen and explore/rediscover a lot of music than I have with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Seriously, Araki needs some form of copyright fine because of all the band names, albums and songs that he's been referencing). For example, I put Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song onto my playlist on Spotify because of this song.
MOVIE REVIEW!
