PS5 Version: This game masterfully builds upon its predecessor. The care that went into the main story, the side quests, the character and world building; almost no stone has been unturned. No longer does the journey feel lonely. The path is ripe with familiar faces and new friends alike. The combat is fluid and fun, although I would gripe that thereโs TOO many different ways to take down humans and machines alike. And once you zoom out on that open world map for the first time, man can it seem daunting. Something keeps me playing feverishly, Iโm unable to put down the controller. I get torn between wanting to explore every nook and cranny and advance the story to have all my questions be answered.
Admittedly, I have not finished the game yet, but Iโm a solid 20 hours in and thereโs still so much to do. The side quests are almost as beefy as the main story itself. Nothing feels irrelevant or tedious. Guerilla Games has done something very special here. Itโs rare that a sequel is truly better than an original, but exceptions have to be made here.
Five stars, would recommend. Iโm having a blast with this one.
