Ethan Nielson

An interesting but ultimately very strange film that I feel will not resonate with most audiences. The lead characters were troubled souls causing me to feel that was a part of the problem, along with a storyline that is very dark and ominous and frankly hard to follow. The flashbacks lend a truly evil aura to the proceedings and leave one with a serious case of unease. There are more questions left unanswered, as opposed to those that are. This is definitely not your run of the mill horror film at all, but a science fiction film that is a cut above what one normally sees. However, I felt an overall emptiness when it was over, with many mysteries concerning the plot left unanswered. Maybe Jordan Peele intended this approach, since to realistically broach this topic (UFOs/Alien Life) without some mystery is simply impossible.
