Let's be honest: Most of the people giving this movie bad ratings are 8th graders who think that they're more mature than the main character, or didn't get that some of the jokes were supposed to be ironic, or didn't watch the full movie and didn't get to the emotional scenes.
All in all, this is a really great movie and I recommend it! It made me cry and I'm sure it will make you cry too
