Spoiler free The movie is not as good as the original, but honestly not many movies in heneral are as good as zootopia 1. For a sequal, I think it is really good. It is not as exciting because it obviously uses the same setup so you are already familiar. The writers have put more effort in depeloping the relationship between nick and judy and they do it very very well, so that is the core plot you will be watching the movie for. But because of this the plot that helps moving things forward, the police stuff, is rushed, too complicated maybe because it needed more screen time to make sense. This is about nick and judy. That is why the case is not a cool mystery unraveling layer by layer like the first movie, because it was never meant to be. And anyway it is not bad that it is different from original imo. Still If you do not compare it to the original, it is one of the really good movies released in recent years. It has original jokes alongside use of some of old jokes. It had a little too much singing for my taste in a scene in the middle of movie. Just one warning: The movie has a big natural-looking blue snake in many scenes so if you have any related phobias, I do not recommend this. Finally I say I liked it a lot. I do not have kids so I don't know, but I recommend it to teens and adults for sure. I have to add the style of reptiles reminded me a little of rango.
