Well, I finally just finished American War by Omar El Akkad. Certainly not a run n gun shoot em up Armegden novel, but a well written and interesting and far flung perspective. North vs South (again). Global influence, tribalism, torture, revenge, greed and idolatry, all formulated in a future controversy, not so different from the present or America's past. Kind of long but everything connects at the end around 2135.
