I'm going to mention something few others have brought up this far - the music. The score simply doesn't feel like Star Wars. Both Kevin Kiner and Ludwig Göransson managed to introduce some freshness into the soundtracks for both Ahsoka and Mandalorian, while still taking a nod from John Williams. Even though both shows were different visually than the rest of Star Wars, the music managed to anchor them both into the universe. The music in Star Wars has ALWAYS been critical to every show/movie. The soundtrack for The Acolyte feels completely wrong. There have been a number of times while watching the show where I asked myself, "Am I watching Star Trek with lightsabers?" I'm willing to bet if this show was rescored, it would feel entirely different and it would have an incredibly more-positive reception.
