Hidden Gem of Netflix picturing the contrasted city of Monterrey. I witnessed the phenomenon caused by the failed Mexican drug war, the “Monterrey-Colombians” ignored by many until our days were victims of the cartels and the government. Even the movie was probably excluded from the Oscars final selection as best foreign movie for telling the truth of the country. Fernando Frias de la Parra show his talent as a gifted director doing an amazing job in his “Opera Prima” with a group of talented actors most or all of them in their first job. 100% recommend to watch this film with an open mind. It could be great to create a serie or extended version to allow people understand the complexity of one of many Mexicos.

This is a well done film that only Guillermo Del Toro could bring.
