As angry and disappointed as I was with the 1984 Lynch version of Dune, Denis Villeneuve's part 1 is simply brilliant in all aspects. 100% Faithful to the first half of the book and ended exactly where it should. With the Jamis knife fight. Actual thopters. Stillsuits, thumpers, sand compactor, tent. The Baron was smart, not silly. Body shields and the associated knife fights. The hunter seeker. Shadout Mapes. All the main characters and actors were perfect. I can't wait for part 2.
