This film was really amazing. I think it was a perfect depiction of a 13 year old girl ( I am a 13 year old girl ). The film was funny, really entertaining and I really loved the art style. Many people are complaining about Mei disrespecting her parents, which I think is crazy. Meis mother is insane, embarrassing her, not letting her go out with friends, and just being a super overprotective parent. People are also complaining about Mei being a dislikable character who only thinks about boys and her friends and is embarrassing, annoying and cocky. This is literally just a teenage girl, not some modest respectful unrealistic character for men. I really enjoyed the film and how realistic it is. People are just mad because it highlights awkward and embarrassing moments and includes puberty. It’s a super good film I really recommend
