I love this show, but I didn't realize that people applied to be on it, and I was hoping to make a suggestion. Two years ago, I became aware of a new player on the Philadelphia pro basketball team: Tyrese Maxey (no.0). Now in his 3rd season, he is doing so well that he received a half-page article in the Wall Street Journal today. I'm not much of a sports' fan, but I am a Maxey by birth. Now in my eighties, the only Maxey I've ever met, other than my father's immediate family, was a postal worker dilivering mail in my Chicago apartment building way back when I was in my teens. Both Tyrese and the postal worker are/were black. I am white. Thus my interest in Tyrese and his roots. Given our country's history of slavery, I imagine these black Maxeys' roots would be a matter of shame for me. But I think it would be interesting to have Tyrese and another pro athlete on Finding Your Roots.
