I LOVE this show as much as I loved George Lopez’s first family sitcom show! I’m not splitting my sides with laughter on every line but I most definitely find it charming and funny overall! There are not any good sitcoms relating to my hispanic culture so it’s awesome to finally get a good one with this show!! And I don’t understand why George’s real life daughter Mayan is criticized for her acting on this show?! I think she is very realistically portraying a smart Hispanic young mother/wife who currently is in a relationship with a non Hispanic kinda bumbly/goofy but lovable guy who is the father to her precocious son ! Mayan is adorable and funny & I think is doing a great job with this role and does well playing off of her father! I also love that they use a lot of hispanic OG actors (probably George’s real life friends) in this sitcom making special appearances to add to the show’s comedy & charm. The wonderful mix of American and Hispanic culture reminds me so much of my own family & relatives! BRAVO also to all the regular cast members who support George and Mayan Lopez on this wonderful show, great casting right down to the family dog named Churro, who could be the twin of Peggy Bigg’s dog Jim from another wonderful sitcom “Mike and Molly”!!
