Fantastic adaptation of Superman in novel form. I keep seeing reviews upset with the politics of the book but they clearly don't know the character if that’s upsetting. Of course Clark would be completely against bigotry and racism! I guess if you expected a different plot-line it could be surprising but this is a novel that is giving us insight into Clark’s mind and emotions. I think this was an incredibly insightful plot-line for the author to choose. What I don’t like about the book is that I have to stop myself from expecting Lana to be ‘Smallville’ Lana. Her character is 100% ‘Smallville’ Chloe and it’s taking me a long time to accept that! Can you tell I’m biased? Otherwise I love it and I think it’s a fantastic depiction of our favorite hero from his perspective and narrative.
