Backflip ie Bakuten is a somewhat typical Japanese based high school boys team sports animation that is focused on team gymnastics. Tumbling, artistic synchronized movement, with elements of dance and Ballet. It has that realistic motion capture animation that makes the viewing experience so much more compelling. Of course the guys are gorgeous and very fit which is always a treat for the eyes but the choreography is brilliant and exciting. The story seems fairly simple so far. The skill of these high school teams is olympic level. If you enjoy watching men’s team sports, dance, ballet, tumbling, and gorgeous 2d guys who are fit give this anime a try.
