Rush will go down as the greatest progressive rock band of all time. ( Correction, has already gone down as the greatest progressive rock band of all time.) To understand this band you first must understand the lyrics about the stories that the GOAT drummer ( Neil Peart ) wrote about, but not to take anything away from the first drummer of the band, John Rutsey. Once you have mastered that then you will hear some of the greatest songs ever so masterfully written and the music put together with each song. I play the drums a little and I have always felt a connection to Neil’s style of playing. He is so missed throughout the drumming community and family members, his 2 great band mates and everyone who has ever been lucky enough to have listened to their music. I was lucky enough to see them in concert in Jacksonville Fla during the PRESTO TOUR. Greatest concert I have ever been to, and I’ve been to many. R.I.P. Neil May their music live on until the end of time.
