i never really played the game before watching this, just the first few chapters before dropping in entirely, this show made me run back to the game just to play through and compare. i must say, i love how accurately they did the show to the game, with even some of the lines in the show having been lifted verbatim from the game itself! it was so much fun, like watching the game play out in a whole new font. they did do a few things differently, the disease and how it doesn't use spores for example, and although im usually not a fan of changes to the original materials, the ones implemented in the show either had no major impact or even improved an aspect of the source material entirely. like with bill and frank for example, in the game, bill is a paranoid weirdo whos always mad, and frank, his partner, died offscreen with a grudge against him. the two weren't really likable in the game, but the show!? 10/10. they were my favorites. (also because of the casting for bill. it was like watching what the real Ron Swanson would do in the apocalypse.. minus the gay stuff) the relationship between the two and their setup made it very hard to watch the end of the episode. the other extras like with sam and henry were also very well put together. all in all, id say this show is definitely a "must watch" for anyone (unless you're homophobic)
