Taraji and Danielle were phenomenal. Fantasia shouldnโt be Celieโฆ She can sing but she will never play that character like Whoopi - she lacked the humility and insecurity the character needs. The cinematography was great, but the original movie is just such a masterpiece that this felt like a โwanna beโ attempt to bring it to a new generation. There were great moments, but overall it was just okay.
