A different leading lady, with substance, not such a shallow character would help: Mindy Khaling, Kelly Rowland or Tamera (Mowry twin w beauty mark mole).
Let's hear more from Funny Fortune-- and less from a leading lady boss, who gets too much spotlight. Kenan should be main focus vs. equal time with his female boss.
Less focus on him getting paired again with a love interest...save for later, and make that character be, again, of substance (not "fake"/ saying so much/"doing so much", as someone else commented here). I'd suggest casting a known, likeable talent, like ones listed above-- or even VERY FUNNY up and coming stand up comedian or actress.
