If you read and liked the novels, you will hate this series. They didn't just cut important stuff out, they completely changed up the story lines and left out important members of the story. The casting feels like it was trying to be politically correct, and botched it. Some of the cast are believable, others are about as far off the mark as you can get. Matt, and Moraine, are the only two who comes close to the characters in the book. Severely disappointed...won't stop me from watching it though.
