What a missed opportunity. The three main characters have not evolved at all. Bette is still a cheater, Shane still a player, and Alice is now a "pro" gossip for pay. I was expecting and would have written it with the original characters having grown significantly in the years between, and as the audience we would get to catch up on how they became better versions of themselves. Like, what the hell, Shane buys a bar to turn it into a lesbian bar? So what, she has an office in the back, and is slipping into Kit's previous role on the show? Also, just saying, I prefer shows that don't obviously have a large budget for the set production. I really don't like shows that look overly expensive unless it is necessary such as in a period piece. The only magic moments are when the three originals are having coffee together and we get the old chemistry back.
