Ironically the actor has a freckled face which Martin does not but survivors who saw the shooter said he had a freckled pockmarked face.
In the film at the end when he pulls out the gun he's seen holding it left handed and putting the gun up to his shoulder, which is how Martin shot, but the shooter shot right handed from the hip.
