Beautiful cinematography and an adult script for a change. The scripts now are geared to what struggling screenwriters believe will sell. Unfortunately, some of these cookie cutter films do get made and go on to dilute the medium. But not this film. Horizon is a well-made epic western. That's what it is. To delve deeper with conjecture and comparison only serves to reward the critics who have lost touch with the fact that regular people love a good epic western, and Costner delivers. Thank you sir.
