I saw Lightyear the week it came out, and boy, I was disappointed. I was expecting an awesome adventure movie about Buzz Lightyear and about how he is an amazing hero like he was in Toy Story. i Instead of that, you get a movie about how Buzz lightyear failed many times and in the face of that, loses his best friend, and in the end, Buzz basically just gave up. I fell asleep halfway through. So instead of now thinking Buzz Lightyear is a hero, well I just think he is a loser and a failure and not the Buzz Lightyear we all knew and loved. SPOILERS AHEAD I totally understand how some people love sci-fi movies and this was definitely that kind of movie. But it took it to a whole new level. Buzz Lightyear is really Zurg? Like what the heck Disney?! Thanks for ruining the whole Toy Story thing for me. And, not to mention the fact on HOW IN THE WORLD did Buzz turn into Zurg? Pixar did a very poor job explaining how that happened. Aside from that, Pixar did an amazing job with the animation. The last thing I have to say is how Disney put in the gay couple in this movie. Disney is trying to cram all of this lgbtq stuff in our face and not giving us a say as to what we believe in. Disney feels like they need to force their opinion on what a family should look like in their eyes. It is totally inappropriate to explain to 4 year olds why the family had two moms. Nice going Disney. Final opinion… 1/10. I look forward to Disney hopefully redeems themselves with another animation movie!
