Charming and enchanting.
Playing on PS4 Pro, this game is a survival game with a difference. Unlike Ark and Conan Exiles as examples, this game removes the tedium of having to eat and drink to stay alive, which may not suit some hardcore survivalists. Citadel: Forged With Fire has a heavy focus on magic and spellcrafting via the Spell Book, which I have found quite innovative. You can also build houses, even castles, craft weapons and armour, cook up potions in a cauldron, and even make a broomstick which you can fly. Taming animals is in here also, and if you dare you can even tame your own dragon. I have only delved into the single player mode so far, but there is also mutiplayer available.
You are thrown into a beautifully crafted world full of fantasy elements, with day and night and weather cycles. The music fits the theme perfectly with some Vangelis inspired moments.
All in all for a game which has apparently come in under the radar and could so easily be missed, I am totally immersed and taken with its charm.
