The book started off good, as I wanted to know what happened to Gabriel and why was Alicia mute and was hoping Theo was going to find out. Then started to go off piste with major plot holes like the whole points to some characters like cousin Paul... Max Berenson... Jean Felix. Towards the end and the "plot twist" NOTHING made sense like how does it go from Alicia being put in a coma from a suspected overdose to Theo sneaking into her back garden, then summer house to put on a balaclava and have a knife and do what he did...is he a time traveller seen as tho Alicia killed her husband around 6 years before. Then the last few chapters felt very rushed and nothing really got explained. A very hard read, which after all has made me feel confused and like I have had my time wasted. Was thinking a 1 star but can't be too harsh...or can I?
